Guitar, piano, drums, voice. Learn an instrument at no cost.
Our free music program offers group lessons for children and adults facilitated by volunteer music educators from the community. No prior experience is needed. No instrument is required. We provide everything.
Music education builds discipline, confidence, emotional expression, and community. For many of our participants, this is their first opportunity to learn an instrument. We take that responsibility seriously and make every session count.
The program is designed to grow, starting with foundational group instruction and expanding into individual lessons, ensemble opportunities, and community performances as we develop.
Two weekly group sessions plus a monthly community jam where everyone plays together.
Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 PM
An introduction to music through rhythm instruments, clapping patterns, singing, and basic music theory. Designed for younger children to build a foundation of musical awareness through play and participation.
Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15 PM
Group instruction in guitar, piano, and drums for older children, teens, and adults. Students rotate through instruments over a multi-week cycle to find their fit. Basic chords, scales, and songs.
1st Saturday of Every Month
An open, informal jam session where students, volunteers, and community members play music together. All levels welcome. Bring your own instrument or use ours. Refreshments provided.
Fridays, 5:00 - 6:00 PM
A creative session where students learn to connect music with storytelling and emotion. Simple songs, lyric writing, and expressive play. Perfect for building confidence through music.
We provide all instruments for use during lessons. Students do not need to own anything to participate.
Acoustic guitar basics: chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs. Our most popular instrument.
Fundamentals of keyboard playing: hand position, scales, reading basic notation, and playing melodies.
Basic drum kit skills, hand percussion, rhythm patterns, and keeping time. Great for building coordination and confidence.
Vocal technique, breathing, pitch, and singing in harmony. Integrated into the Rhythm & Voice session and available during open jam.
We are always accepting donations of gently used instruments. That guitar in your closet, the keyboard in your garage, the drum set your kids outgrew, it could change someone's life.
Every donated instrument goes directly into the hands of a student who otherwise would never have the chance to play.
